Rio’s downtown and Port Area were completely renovated for the 2016 Rio Summer Games. What used to be an industrial part of town became the place to be during the Rio Olympic Games. Olympic Boulevard attracted millions of people with concerts, food trucks, special events, and beautiful murals that were painted by a world-famous artist. If you are in Rio, this is a Must-See as it’s part of history. The Aqua Rio aquarium was inaugurated in late 2016 and is Latin America’s largest Aquarium. It’s brand new and beautiful and highly recommended.
Aqua Rio is Rio’s newest attraction and Latin America’s largest Aquarium. Olympic Boulevard treated millions of people to an incredible time during the Rio Summer Games. It also has some incredible murals that were painted by a world-famous artist and Museum of Tomorrow.
The Aqua Rio and Olimpic Boulevard Tour starts at Pio X Square in Candelária Church, walk along the Olympic Boulevard to the area of the Museum of Tomorrow. Then board on the Light Rail Vehicle (VLT) to Stop at the Ships Harbor and the Snake Wall Mural. Disembark at the Aqua Rio with your guide and then head back to your hotel.
